~ A short story about love

Each time I witness a wedding or I see two people get together, all I can do is ask myself "How did they do it ? How did they keep that flame and how did they manage to overcome their fear of commitment? How much effort did it take them to accept the daily challenges of the relationship ? "
And then I just remember a story about my parents that my mother keeps on telling us again and again _maybe it is her way of reminding us the kind of love a woman deserves to have .. 
( When my mother gets angry against something she just stops smile and stops talking, it is her way to express anger and disapproval . )
Here comes the story : Once my father made my mother get really angry , so she left the house and went to work with that angry look on her face . So She was writing on the blackboard _she is a teacher _ and she turned to find my father standing at the door of the classroom looking at her . She gave him her unsatisfied gaze and asked him what did he want so he answered :" I am not moving from here until I see your smile " . 
And that's when i just find the answer to all my questions : Relationships work when you put your ego aside, recognize your mistakes and dare to apologize. People make It work because they pay attention to details about the other : what makes him tick and what makes him laugh . It's when the happiness of the other becomes the source of yours and his success yours , it's when his sorrow becomes your catalyze to cheer him up . As for the fear of commitment I think that they overcome it when the other feels like home and when the challenges are still there but you value each other so much to keep on doing efforts .
